TLK fandom, meet Kion: Simba's new son.
First heard about this on the MyLionKing forums, and it was enough to jostle me out of my "not really inspired by anything TLK anymore" malaise.
Aaand the rabid fan discussion should be starting in 3...2...1...
EDIT: The only screenshots available of Kion that were available when I drew this didn't show the markings on his legs very clearly. I thought he had more pawprints on his forelegs, but looking at the screenshots on this page make it look like they're just ordinary spots: www.stitchkingdom.com/disney-l…
The pawprint also has an outline in the first picture (unlike the spots on his legs), which seems to point away from it being a birthmark. Also, in the second screenshot, I'm pretty sure that it's glowing.
EDIT 2 (11/9/14): Nitrol (a member of the forums at MyLionKing.org) posted a link to this very brief video showing Kion jumping, and if you look at the animation's individual frames, the paw print appears to have changed into a stylized lion's head. The plot thickens...
