I've been meaning to draw a scene like this for a long time. I totally used Poser and Bryce to get the proportions and perspective of this picture right.

This looks really nice! The poses are just fine, and I like the background!
This is going to sound really random, but I especially love the flowers in the lower corners. They really draw your eyes around the picture, especially combined with the cactus-- it makes a great frame for the characters.

And Edgar's life... yeah, poor kid. Being raised by Lolotte and then being yourself for a few hours or days before WHAM you're the troll king. Again, poor kid.

Thank you! I don't think that was a random thought at all; I put the various flora there with the intent of balancing the scene and make it a little less stark. I really appreciate feedback on various "artistic elements" of my stuff.

The sand is really sparkley and pretty. And the lighting and background are very nice - early morning or late evening is a more original choice than night for this kind of scene.

Poor Edgar. I wouldn't blame him for having an identity crisis from time to time.

Thank you!

I think I've found one of the possible reasons why I think Edgar is such an interesting character. In Joseph Campbell's The Power of Myth, he says that imperfections are what make others loveable, which makes sense -- Edgar seems to be one of the most imperfect major characters in the series.

Edgar is awesome :) ^^ He's had a rough time, that's for sure. :3

Hey, that's true! Not all his imperfections are his fault, but yeah, he's definitely not the most assertive or perceptive character in the series.

But he'll always have a special little place in my heart for helping Rosella escape in King's Quest 4, even though he wanted to marry her.

Same here. On the same subject, he seems to be the character that gets the least credit for his good deeds, too.
