Whiptail Love

Description

As I've stated before, I've never been much of a fan of slash or "mpreg". I don't get the appeal of making two straight characters fall in love with each other, and I don't understand why fans can't just accept that two guys can be really good friends without having sex. And I'm not even going to get started on mpreg.

But for some reason, I don't have any real problems with two girls being in love and/or having sex. In fact, I admit that I'm a bit fascinated by the concept.

This picture depicts one possible reason for why I feel this way.

Several species of whiptail lizards (these two are losely based on the desert grassland whiptail) in the North American southwest are unisexual, meaning that they are all female. Let me repeat that in caps: THEY ARE ALL FEMALE.

You know what this means? That's right: Virgin births, all over the deserts of the southwest! The whiptails also engage in courtship and mating rituals similar to those of similar species who reproduce in the conventional way.

So maybe that's why I'm perfectly a-okay with "femslash". Nature has no problem implementing it, so why should I be repulsed by it?

Hmm...Is there any form of slash where two girls have sex and one of them winds up pregnant?

Um, news flash, a female can't get pregnant without the eggs being fertilized... which is what the male does...
